What I Do

I am the author of books on leadership and entertainment, and an experienced executive leader and board member mainly in automotive industry, and an international speaker on transformation and leadership. I have spent more than 25 years studying the theory and practice of leadership psychology, inspiration and courage – and implementing it in my own life and with hundreds of people from a dozen of countries.

What I Believe

I believe life is about knowing why you’re here and living your purpose fully. That means serving the world in a way only you can and growing from the challenges, opportunities, and relationships that come your way. You must act accordingly to live an authentic, successful and happy life. I also believe in second chances and I’m grateful for mine. It’s led to my professional calling and the fulfillment of my passion – sharing my experience with the people who want to know.

Who I Am

I’m a C-level executive, entrepreneur, author, speaker and life coach dedicated to helping people to find their purpose and groom themselves in every area of life. I discovered the calling of my life purpose inspiring others through writing and speaking, and I’ve coached hundreds of people in a dozen countries. I help you:

BIOGRAPHY

Karl-Alexander Seidel (born 27 August 1970) is a German automotive executive and Board member of Daimler Truck Innovation Center India Pvt. Ltd. since 2024. From 2020 to 2022, he was the chief executive officer of Daimler Buses India, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, Germany. He has also had roles with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., TASIAP GmbH and Daimler AG.

EDUCATION

Seidel earned a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Ulm, Germany.

He later undertook a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

CAREER

Since 2024, Seidel was appointed Vice President Chassis Design, Simulation and Digital Manufacturing Operations and member of the Board of Daimler Truck Innovation Center India Pvt. Ltd.

In 2022, he was appointed as plant head of the Citibus plant in Mannheim, Germany. Under his lead the transformation of the production to 100% electric and hydrogen buses has been completed.

In 2021, Seidel was elected chairman of ASSOCHAM Tamilnadu Development Council.

In 2020, he took over the role of CEO of Daimler Buses India. He maneuvered the company through the COVID-19 pandemic and integrated the Bus business into the Truck business of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., to make the business sustainable in the crisis and to secure the majority of jobs for the employees.

In 2015, Seidel returned to Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. as head of supplier management powertrain and was appointed as COO of Daimler Buses India in 2016. Under his lead, the body building activities were insourced, the production capacity as well as the workforce was increased significantly, and the quality improved drastically.

In 2013, he was appointed COO of TASIAP GmbH. Under his lead, 3 CKD plants for passenger cars, vans, trucks, buses and engines have been conceptualized and realized.

In 2009, Seidel returned to Germany, as global head of homologation Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles. Under his lead, the new generation of heavy-duty engines were certified for EURO V, and the new generation of Mercedes Benz - Actros and Arocs – were certified for registration.

In 2007, he was the appointed as head of cross-functions and member of the Board of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd.

In 2001, Seidel joined Daimler AG as head of product creation process design. Under his lead, the creation of Daimler AG’s commercial vehicle subsidiary in India – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. – was driven.

Seidel started his automotive career with PORSCHE AG 1996.
